What a step! I have a huge fear of driving, but I'm managing and I even got to do some Holidays gifts shopping on my own!!

🎁🎁🎁 passing the exam was a great Christmas gift, even if I still cannot believe I can now drive and do it on my own too :)


I am caught in the social flurry, hoping to see all my friends that live far away <3 I got my covid boost, and had my father do it too.
You know when people say "I don't care about gifts, spending time with you is the biggest present" IT'S SO TRUE. It might be sappy, but it is :)


If I forget to post, know that I wish each and everyone of you a great end of the year <3 It's just a date, but in the festive spirit of these days I hope we'll finde time to take care of ouselves and have some peace 🕊️

I've gone to some small markets with stalls, bought some early Christmas gifts and I'm baking quite a bit! :D

This is the latest recipe I tried for Chocolate Cupcakes and they were delicious.

Decorating cupcakes is very fun, we have the russian piping tips. I need to watch videos on how to actually use them but in the meantime I'm just having some chaotic fun!

Since I am still in burnout, sadly, I'm not offering any this year, but I have you all in my heart <3


If I find a store selling pecan nuts I want to trie a Pecan Pie before Autumn ends :D

I went to the Go_A concert the other night and rn I am T I R E D, but! They are good <3<3

I've booked my practical driving exam for december 🤞🤞🤞

And I've finished my SwitchAround Collab (started around March), which is big for me <3 I think it's amazing and I can't wait to post Emm's work too because YOU NEED TO SEE IT <3<3<3


Now my priorities are

- driver's licence exam
- university
- Fandom for Oz Auction work

(and mental health of course, it goes without saying ;) )

on the side I'm back with some studies about perspective, hoping to resume my private lessons in 2023 <3 Winterknights is on, but Kinkalot has proven me that I can draw my knights in easy time so I want to give myself some self indulgent content to not burn out again ^^


I've started using a stim toy (it's complicated), but it kinda makes my hands sore... I need to figure this out too.

I'll probably do a RL update next or maybe it'll be a post about my first FIC (!!!). Depends on what happens next this S p O o K y month! 🎃🎃🎃🍂🍂🍂

Despite my very optimistic predictions I only passed 1 exam (out of 6). But 1 is still MUCH better than 0 <3 And I learned a lot about microorganisms, the professor was so passionate I really enjoyed her enthusiasm, she almost converted me to the microorganisms path 😄

This Kinkalot I got 3 wonderful gifts (Perwaine) ♡♡♡ I'm working on some Merlin fanart (read: Perwaine) myself, even if I've got SO MUCH ART I want to work on :O

I cannot decide what to do first because everything seems SO IMPORTANT all the time!!

Right now I've just finished doing a template for character sheets that I hope to use for some comics, I also did some gesture and some fixings of old stuff that I like for sentimental value, like a Merlin magic reveal piece with Gwaine ♡ but I don't know if it's even worth pursuing since I don't feel like angsty/emotional pieces are in my target right now... I'd like to see it finished but I have energy and time which are very limited! CHOICES!! AAARGH!!

I'm reading (between other books) The Making of a Story by Alice LaPlante, it gives some insight on writing and it gave me a starting point to learn about writing. I have finished a fic that I hope to post on AO3 soon, which is very self-indulgent, the kind of thing that I wanted to see in the world so I'm doing it myself ahaha!

Writing feels like a completely different endeavour than drawing, it's honestly making my brain's gears screech sometimes!


The CSP trial on tablet has expired so I've decided to try Krita and I think it's really good!! I do a lot of thumbnails and real life/urban sketching with it.

I hope October treats me well, at least I'm happy that I can now wear sweatshirts and see the mist rising ♡♡♡

I'm still unwell, but doing work with therapy and the tools I got 💪💪💪 Sometimes doing what you can with the circumstances you're given is the best you can do 😔

I decided to do a deep clean of my room and it's been an ongoing process (started around April).
I clean like a drawer or two at the time, to make small manageable chunks. I don't have a lot of furniture but I'm very inconsistent, because I can't do it everyday, but I hope to end before the end of fall.

I'm also reading the KonMari's "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" so I'm trying to hold each item as I clean and be grateful for it.

I've never been a big buyer, so far 99% of what I own sparks joy. I still decided to let go of some comics, but more because I don't think I'll ever read them again and I like having more space, I still don't know what I will do with them because they are perfectly good and I'm sure someone could enjoy them.
While I was reading up on donating and stuff I came across this very interesting reddit post on dealing with trash [link].

I agree that guilt is an hindrance in basically any process: To move forward and take action is better than stay immobilized by guilt.

Guilt is one of my worst demons and it's always though to ground yourself and remember that guilt does not serve our goals.


My reading is still ongoing: I read as I clean and I'm still at my library/books part. I had to divide the book section in subcategories because I got a little bit of everything!! Euro comics, Italian comics and Italian indie comics, USAmerican comics non Marvel and Marvel, manga, Artbooks etc.!! I want to take stock of all that I have. I can't reorganize much: no space, and this is really a problem when you have a 30cm tall comic which can only fit in one part of the library XD but it's nice to take a look at what I have and appreciate it.

Anyway, even if I don't agree with everything in KonMari's book, I feel like the considerations still have a lot of value. I really love her approach to personal growth and having a gratitude based approach to life <3

The Netflix series was super sweet and I really loved seeing people use cleaning as a tool for meditating on life and the future! I will for sure make treasure of what she teaches if I ever get my own house.

Will possibly make more posts if I feel better.

Also Kinkalot will start next month, I won't participate but it's so nice to have it going <3 I'll be cheering as much as I can 🎉🎉

I have a magazine article about Merlin, in particular the "bromance" of Merlin and Arthur, from The A-Z of Sci-Fi TV sfx special edition issue 59, it's 4 pages.

It has short interview bits and (I kid you not) a top five of the best shipping moments XD The article is from the time before season 5 ended but I think it's really nice!

Since I don't have space for this Merthur memorabilia, I thought: maybe someone in fandom would like to have me send it to them?

Technical comment: This drawing was originally inspired by actor Kevin Hart.
Sadly at the time the face didn't satisfy me. I never posted it nor finished it partly because of that face, so this time I took extra care to render the things I like most about him, mostly his expression and eyes when he's thoughtful. He's so handsome when he smiles but in the serious moments of his movies his eyes become really deep, like the depths of a sea ♡ You can see detail before-after of the face under the cut.

As all the other old drawings the pose suffers from severe stiffness.
The body line was simple and quite good, all I had to do was apply colour and texture, and I already had picked the reference photo (link below) so it was an easy process.

Here's another MerMay redraw, more sketchy this time. 🐟 ♡

Technical comment: For this I just had a sketchy art so I wanted to keep it loose ♡ My main goal was to keep the feeling of his expression and I wanted to keep the peculiar nose as I don't tend to draw that nose shape nowadays. In the end I went in with some blush and a gradient map for a splash of colour, but I kept the tail withouth details or refinement I feel it helps focus more on the human part of the body.
